Just got burned by DraftKings on what should've been an easy

Just hit a decent win on NBA props last week and trying to cash out $950 from an offshore book. They're asking for driver's license, bank statement from last 30 days, and a selfie holding my ID. Submitted everything Tuesday morning but still showing "under review" 4 days later.

Is this normal timing? The site says 24-48 hours for document verification but I'm past that window. This is my first withdrawal over $500 so maybe they're being extra careful, but getting nervous about the delay.

What's been everyone's actual experience with verification times? Trying to figure out if I should be worried or just wait it out.

50 bonus grab. Was depositing $500 to hit their CHITOWN250 promo for Bears season win totals (over 8.5 at +110), but the code expired at exactly 11:59 PM while my payment was processing through my Chase card.

Deposit went through at 12:03 AM according to my bank statement, but DraftKings is saying the promo window closed and they can't honor it retroactively. Support ticket #DK-2847392 has been open for 3 days with just automated responses about "reviewing promotional eligibility."

The Bears are sitting at 8.5 wins with decent value, but without that bonus match I'm not touching it. Anyone else get caught in similar timing issues with their promos? Seems like they should honor deposits that start before midnight even if they complete after.

Nah man, you're looking at this wrong. DraftKings didn't screw you — you just didn't plan ahead. Every promo has a hard cutoff and everyone knows deposit processing isn't instant, especially with credit cards on weekends.

Plus that Bears over 8.5 is sucker money anyway. We've got the softest schedule in the NFC North but Caleb Williams is still a rookie and our O-line is held together with duct tape. Take the under at -130 and thank me in January.

Had the exact same thing happen with a MyStake deposit bonus back in October. Their "FOOTBALL200" code expired at midnight EST but my Bitcoin transaction didn't confirm until 12:47 AM due to network congestion. They initially denied it but escalated support actually honored it after I showed the blockchain timestamp proving I initiated before cutoff.

Key difference is crypto gives you that immutable proof of when you started the process. Credit card deposits are trickier because the bank can hold authorization for several minutes. DraftKings has gotten stricter about this stuff since Illinois started auditing promotional compliance more heavily. Still worth pushing back with screenshots of when you clicked submit, but don't get your hopes up.

This is exactly why I switched to crypto-first books. Had three different timing issues with DraftKings and FanDuel last football season — all involving credit card processing delays killing bonus eligibility.

Now I keep Bitcoin ready on BUSR for their instant deposit bonuses. No processing delays, no bank holds, no midnight cutoff games. Their NFL futures are competitive too and you can actually withdraw your winnings without jumping through KYC hoops for weeks.

DraftKings support is useless for anything beyond password resets. Save yourself the headache and move to books that don't play timing games with your money.

File a complaint with the Illinois Gaming Board if DraftKings won't budge. Reference IGB Rule 1800.470(c) which requires operators to honor promotional terms as reasonably interpreted by players. A deposit initiated before expiry should qualify even if processing completes after midnight.

I've seen them reverse similar decisions when regulators get involved. Takes 2-3 weeks but worth it for

50. Include your bank statement showing the authorization timestamp and any screenshots of the promo page before it expired.

Been tracking DraftKings promo patterns for two years and they've definitely gotten more aggressive about cutoff enforcement since summer. Used to be they'd give 15-30 minute grace periods for processing delays, but now it's hard stop at expiry.

That said, I hit their BULLS150 code last month for the playoff push and it processed clean with a 1:58 AM deposit on a Sunday night. Difference was I used PayPal instant transfer instead of direct card — might be worth switching payment methods for future promos.

The Bears over 8.5 is still solid value even without the bonus. Williams looked decent in preseason and the schedule is cake until November. But yeah, DraftKings customer service is hot garbage when money's involved. They'll string you along for weeks hoping you forget about it.

Wait, how do you even find these promo codes? I've been using DraftKings for Bears bets all season but never seen any Chicago-specific bonuses. Are they email-only or do they post them somewhere public?

Also is there a minimum deposit amount for most of these promos? Still learning how the bonus system works.

The CHITOWN250 code was garbage anyway —

Just got burned by DraftKings on what should've been an easy

50 bonus locked behind 10x rollover on Bears season win total of 4.5 games. With Williams getting sacked 8 times against the Commanders, that over was dead by Week 8. DraftKings knew exactly what they were doing with those terms.

The real issue isn't the midnight cutoff, it's that they're pushing Chicago-themed promos on a team that's been basement-dwelling for three seasons. At least with the Bulls you get occasional playoff runs to justify the juice.
