Caught the Blackhawks season total over 82.5 points at +115 odds yesterday morning around 9:30 AM. Planned to hammer it after doing some research on their roster moves, but when I came back at 3:45 PM the entire season total market was pulled.

Called customer service and they said "market volatility" but wouldn't elaborate. The line opened at 79.5 points back in September, moved to 82.5 by December, and now it's completely gone.

Anyone else see this happen? I've tracked NHL season totals for three years and never seen a line pulled mid-season like this. Their current pace puts them at exactly 84 points if they maintain .512 win percentage through the remaining 31 games.

That's sketchy as hell. Hawks are trash but 82.5 was way too high anyway. They're gonna crater after the trade deadline when they dump Foligno and whoever else has value.

Saw the same thing happen with the Cubs win total last April. Line opened at 84.5, moved to 87.5 after their hot start, then vanished completely for 11 days. Turns out there was some injury news that hadn't gone public yet.

For hockey season totals, books usually pull them when there's a major trade brewing or injury report that hasn't hit the mainstream yet. BetAnything still has some NHL futures up but their Blackhawks totals got pulled around the same time you mentioned.

The +115 on over 82.5 was solid value though. Their underlying metrics suggest they're playing better than their record shows.

Back in '92 when the Hawks made their Cup run, the bookies didn't even offer season totals until October. Now they're pulling lines faster than Mike Keenan pulled goalies.

This smells like insider action to me. Someone with knowledge placed heavy money on the under and the book got spooked. I've seen it happen with the Bulls when Jordan was "retired" - lines would disappear overnight when the smart money knew something was coming.

The Hawks organization leaks like a sieve. Remember when the Kane trade rumors moved the playoff odds by 200 points before any official announcement? Same pattern here. If you're looking for NHL action, XBet keeps their lines up longer than most books, but they'll adjust the juice heavy when they smell trouble.

82.5 points is right on the bubble anyway. This team's got the talent to hit 85+ if they stay healthy, but they've also got the coaching to blow it completely. Colliton's system works when everyone buys in, but one bad stretch and they'll fold like a lawn chair in a tornado.

Wait, books can just pull lines whenever they want? I thought once they post odds they have to honor them until the market closes. This seems unfair to bettors who are doing research.

Books reserve the right to pull any line for "market protection" - it's in the fine print everyone skips. Usually happens when there's lopsided action or they suspect insider info.

The Hawks situation is weird because their schedule strength remaining is actually easier than average. 18 of their last 31 games are against teams currently below .500. If they were healthy, 82.5 would be a lock for the over.

I had the same line at +115 and managed to get

00 down before it disappeared. Customer service gave me the runaround for 20 minutes about "technical difficulties" but the bet is still live in my account.

The timing is suspicious - right after morning skate reports came out about Bedard looking "ginger" on his ankle. Nothing official from the team but beat writers were tweeting cryptic stuff about his mobility. If he misses significant time, that total becomes a lot tougher to hit.
